The Virus War
It is common for us to hear that a new virus has been detected and that we should protect our information technology systems. According to experts, new viruses and their variations are discovered every day. But what few people know is that sometimes Internet companies use viruses to even scores with clients and competitors. Sources indicate it has become common among Internet companies to send a slew of virus variations that might hinder each other's daily operations. Although the practice is widespread, none of the companies will blow the whistle on the other because, as they say, people in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks. Now we have to wonder if we should protect ourselves from our own Internet service providers.
