minimum number of domains

What's the minimum number of domains one should have in this business? I know the simple answer is one, your main domain, but some times I think I should some more than one.

Is there an advantage to more than one domain?

depends what you wanna do in this biz. if you wanna play serious seach engine games you need about 1000+ domains if you just wanna do tgping without any SEO whatsoever 1 domain could be enough, if you have several different decent sites you want their own domains as many as needed etc.

I wouldn't suggest any fixed amount of domains. One could make some serious cash with just one domain as someone else could make as much with 100's of domains. So many factors to take into account in the SEO field. I will just say that inbound links is one of the most important ;)

Well, unless each of those domains are on different IP blocks and have different WHOIS info and have different DNS addresses... that won't be much of an advantage. 100s of domains spreaded over 100s of different hosting accounts aint cheap and in addition to that, you would have to get many of those domains linked from somewhere else in order to be able to boost your other domains. Can you see the big picture? ;)

Yeah. I guess I'll keep things simple. Maybe get another domain for content that don't match my current domain.
