How much traffic can I expect from getting listed on the Hun?
Because I got an e-mail with this;

From a paid spot i used to get 100k+ hits 1st day of listing i think but no idea about free spots.. maybe 20-40k? anyone can answer this?

not sure about that. normally i send about 1,000 hits to a certain sponsor each day. but as of 1030 am today, i've already hit 1400+ to the same sponsor. the hun has one of my latest galleries that promotes the sponsor soooo....

josea there is no precise rules hun listed me 3 weeks ago and i got trafic
so little that i even shame to said how much.
whatever i got 270 unique hits on my sponsor without sales ofcourse.
i study him about 3-4 months i got 280 galleries that he listed on his main page with freehost or pay or paid spots.
i have notice that he list the same people whole time people who had a shame gallery design just with different pics.
oh yes they even use the same hadteattle,alt metta tags etc.
but u must be arogant and anoing to post all the times to see what works and what not.
well i try to help u on some way so i hope i did

some of the same people he lists are there because they paid for those spots. i think anything below the 15-20 spots are regular submitters. keep in mind that you are only allowed to submit to the hun every 3-4 days.

The hun can send you anywhere from 20k to 100k on the first day for a free listing. It varies alot depending on where he lists you and what description he uses (he always ignores the one i give him). He will only list simple, clean galleries (like Josea's one). And you will only get a decent CTR and make sales if you are selling something new and/or different. And often you make more sales on the 2nd or 3rd day you are listed.
I have had some great successes (30 sales on the 1st day) in the past and I have had some spectacular failures (2 clicks to the sponsor from 100k in traffic...really!). It's a tough learning curve but if you can work out what works you can do very well with him. It will certainly teach you a thing or 2 about simple gallery design and text links :)

yeah, you could be listed on his overflow page. i think he lets you know if you are going to get listed there. not as much traffic as the index page but its still traffic
i have a gallery that's just been listed on the hun today, and so far today (don't know what the time is in hunsville anyhow!) i've received 63951 visits, and it’s a very low listing.

yeah, i'll let you know if there's a significant change when my stats re run. :D
i don't expect to make any sales though because i think what i'm selling is too expensive for the free loaders at the hun ($29.95/month).

Not necessarily. I had a listing yesterday. About 100k on the 1st day with 8 full month sales ($29.95) so far :)

good luck with that one. I usually do better promoting one sponsor on any one gallery. the content itself doesnt give a surfer much reason to click through to your sponsor.
is hornyofficebabes.com your site? because if it isnt, you're sending free traffic to your sponsor without your code. and you wont do too well directing the surfers directly to the join page. most surfers aren't impulse buyers :(

From the hun so far. More than 700 hits to sponsor with over 500 from the gallery and more than 100 no referer.
No sales. :(
Is http://www.babevue.com/gal/002/gal.html a terrible gallery design? Or am I getting pure freeloader traffic?

well its not exactly the best design. there isnt much to the content. theres really no action. basically the guy's just sitting there between two girls who have their asses up in the air and moving their panties from one side to the other. thats it. like i said, the text has to get the guy really horny too. get him all worked up. to get an idea of what i'm talking about, go read some sex stories the penthouse books (not the magazines)... the penthouse letters is what i think they're called.

The Hun gallery has gotten 117242 visits so far and 959 hits to the sponsor but only one sale. 117242/959 is about 122 so my click thru ratio is 1:122 and one sale out of 959 visits to sponsor mean a conversion ratio of 1:959. At least I think this is the way you figure it.
At least I didn't use up all my bandwidth. And last night's sale pays for this month's hosting.
This was an earlier gallery design. Hopefully the Hun will pick up some of the later galleries I submitted.

He does say on his webmaster page (somewhere there) that he prefers 'good' galleries and no popups. My sponsor only has an exit pop up which would only be noticed if a surfer visits the site then leaves.
I guess you're right. To him a 'good' gallery is one with a clean simple design.
I got to work on more.

yeah but free listed galleries on hun are just too simple so too hard for webmasters to make good sales cos it gets really easy for surfers to ignore sponsor links and just go for free content :( On the other hand, I think he would still accept small clean but flashy gifs on galleries but that's just me thinking ;)

hey, speaking of flashy gifs, for some reason that gif seems to stop flashing sometimes in IE when i click on an image then click back to the gallery, the gif seems to stay in an off state. any clue why? :confused:

Maybe he just got an extra email account. Perhaps he was getting too much spam?
BTW
The results of my second hun traffic spike are better so far than the first one. With the first gallery I got one sign-up the second day. With my second gallery I got 3 sign-ups on the first (yesterday).
Don't know if this is due to the second gal being better designed or if ithe content just appealed more to the surfers. Or considering how much freeloaders make up the traffic it would just be a numbers game. I got more traffic this time but not 3 times more. Maybe I should look into statitical analysis to be able to better figure out if results are due to design/content or just luck.

Yes I have a clue.. your browser doesn't like you my browser does so it lets the gif stay on :p
hmm yeah, could well be the case mate! i've just applied service pack 2 on win xp and it doesn't seem to be happening anymore! :D

Yeah he's using the servers email function to email right from his script.
Odd though usually the mail function belongs to the "nobody" account so the e-mails come from "nobody"
