I received an email from my main sponsor today referring me to one of the galleries I built. he said that it was against their TOS because the woman was not one their models (basically not content they own or are licensed to own). I had to remove the offending gallery. I replied back by asking to elaborate on this and he said
"I was referring to this part, the latter part of which talks about using
non-sponsor content to promote us:
• Affiliate may not use sponsor’s material or images to promote other sites
and may not use material or images for which sponsor does not own the
copyrights or legal license to as a means to promote sponsor.
The model in the gallery's not one of ours, according to our CEO, who
forwarded me the original complaint, a customer support email looking
for that particular model. We had to disappoint the potential customer
with, "We don't have that model, sorry.""
:cussing:
gawd damn people! this means I can't use anything but their free content to promote their site!
at one point do you look at a bread and butter sponsor and let go?
I can see his point. I get emails all the time about models from galleries and help them locate it in the site. I get "I bought a trial for this model only now I can't find her. Please help me find her or please refund my money". That's why I also keep telling you Pookie that you are better off using the content I provide you with but if you really like some outside content let me know I'll buy it myself so there's no such prob. So ask your sponsor if he'll do the same for you.

What would be the best way to use non-sponsor content? I could understand the surfer not being happy that the model he wanted to see is not part of the site he joined. So how does one sell a site using content that is not available at that site?
I know that non-sponsor content should match the site. It might be possible to license the same content from the same source but what if the sponsor has exclusive content?

well you need to read their terms of service. if it says that you aren't allowed to use content other than what they provide you to promote their site, so be it. use their content. if they don't have it available, ask them. it wont hurt to ask. if they're just being difficult, its time to move on. there are a ton of sponsors out there

For me, I'd prefer you used the content I provided but I have affiliates that don't and I don't care either. Specially pics content, never had a single inquiry about girls from a pic gallery, it's always been about girls from movie galleries or about girls from sample movies on tour.
I'd prefer you used my content but it really isn't that big a deal. If you used a model I don't have and a surfer did ask for her I'd just email and ask you where you got that set from and buy the license myself too and put up that set in member's area simple as that.

but ofcourse there could be some jackasses thinking otherwise. If he is, he doesn't care about keeping honest affiliates that spend money out of their own pockets to promote him so you shouldn't care about him either.
