Where do I submit hosted galleries?

I'm not sure, but I think that some TGPs have a no hosted gallery policy. Perhaps because you can't put recipts on them.

Hosted galleries are for tgp owners only. Submitters need to build their own galleries only. Why would a tgp owner accept a hosted gallery from you when he can simply add his own linkcode and get paid for the same gallery? ;)

If you have your own traffic sources to stoke top lists, you can put them on free sites. Top Links usually only care about you linking back, not if you have content hosted in a certain place.

Some Free AVSs will let you get away using a hosted gallery as part of your content. I do it all the time with one sponsor's movie galleries, and it is effective.

I missed this 'cause I got addicted to this stupid computer game, but now I'm stuck on a level and keep getting 'killed', so I have to go back to work. :p

The thing about top sites, is while they may not blast you with 7 gazillion worthless hits the first week - and then nothing - like the major free site link sites, as long as you send a little traffic back, they should return traffic as long as they're up.

Go to your favorite search engine, and type in:
<MY NICHE> top links or something like that. See what comes up. You're looking for top sites that have been indexed well in the search engines, plus are targetted to your niche. If they have a couple dozen sites or so, and it looks like the sites actually send a little traffic, this may be a good one to test. The other cool thing about top lists, is they usually don't have a bunch of stupid rules. You usually just have to be in the niche (which you'd want to anyway), be legal, and of course return traffic.

My favorites allow you to pop on exit, and they do not have doorways (ie. the page that says CLICK HERE TO ENTER). Webmasters say that they have doorways to protect from cheaters - this may be a teensy bit true, but mostly that doorway traps most of the traffic from ever clicking through to your site. Running my own top sites, I have tested both ways - and I know.

Now the stats on the top site may or may not be true - the only way to tell is to test it on your site. It's not such a big deal to put a link up for a day or two, and see if it returns anything. It's also good if they link to your site, from the top site, is your actual URL, and not code (like http://www.theBestTopSite.Com/someprogram.cgi?id=whatChMaCallIt) That may be asking too much. Don't worry, even those script links will get indexed, and they will point to your site.

Now, if you want to know about running one yourself - always the best idea - just make one in a niche you make a lot of sites in. Link up a dozen or two of your own sites - submit everything to the Search Engines - and then go spam it on some webmaster boards or something.

That's all I know. I got lucky by making a couple in niches that were under-developed, and so I made a few bucks. I popped mine on exit to those avs sites that allowed it, and then on those AVS sites that didn't when I stopped caring if I was listed or not because my top lists gave me tons more traffic than the butt-picky AVS ever did anyway.

I saw a feature to submit FHGs with chameleon and asked the owner about it. He told me some sites really accept such galleries with your own code. But I didnt try it. :)
