Not so good for the short run but if you optimize your site properly on the long run it could get you search engine ranking/traffic and some slow and steady sales.

I built one but didn't submit it. Actually I did submit one of the galleries to the Hun but nowhere else. It's just an experiment to see how many surfers find it. I sall that that gallery got 3 hits yesterday and since it I didn't submit it anywhere else that could have been the Hun reveiwing it. No email yet so maybe he'll reject it.

Maybe I'll forget about the original experiement and start submitting the free site to links and topsites. I'm not sure what I should know about what to do and not do when it comes to linkbacks.

recips for both maybe but for toplist thou you may need something more aggressive like blind links somewhere :winkwink:

So if I join a topsite call something 'busty babes top 100' or something like that, I would have a blind link with something like 'click here for more busty babes'?

If the name of the topsite suggest something the surfers want couldn't I use their banner/linkback table or what ever?

I understand sending lots of surfer to a toplist in order to get a better rank (which = more traffic) but I'm a little confused about why a blind link would work better.

linklists won't list your site. Some link lists will even tell you unless you have this group of recips on your page, you won't be listed. A link to topsite on your page may not improve their PRs.

Blind links cos you do not want to send your good hits to a toplist you send them to a paysite you send your waste to toplist. 'click here for more busty babes' a link like that should go to a busty paysite not toplist. Far down the page '100 free MPEG busty fucking MOVIES here' should go to a toplist so you could send your freeloaders off and get some fresh traffic in exchange.

Confusing as it may seem, a high ranking on a top list doesn't necessarily equate to more return traffic. You'll find that the rankings in a group of niched top lists (probably all run by the same webmaster) can be dominated by a handful of sites, but they don't always benefit from that. Often sites ranked 25 - 50 will see a better return than those above them.

One tip: be wary of top lists that don't place an acceptable limit on banner dimensions and/or size. These tend to load awfully slowly and, in my experience, die rather quickly as surfers can't be asked to wait.

Another tip: go for top lists that re-rank every seven days or sooner.

One other thing, on which it would be interesting to hear Nightdrive's opinion. I've found that most top lists tend to run out of steam after a year or so. You'll get good numbers for a while, then traffic drops off to a trickle.

And quite frankly never would I. It just never happened to me and don't even believe would happen to anyone unless someone got surfers that are all on cracks and behaving irrationally or someone got fucked up toplist script sending tarffic to wrong sites. Majority surfers will always click on top links, if not, something wrong somewhere or sun is setting in the east :p
